Nothing says ‘inspirational’ like sending someone a card with a truly positive vibe. We’re in the midst of a global lockdown here. It’s all pandemics, sneezing and toilet roll wars. So, since we can’t get out to the mountains with our friends, why not send a mountain to a friend instead?
This simple monochrome mountain card is unbelievably easy to put together. You need only a few supplies and a short amount of time. So let’s get started.
Stamping your Monochrome Mountain Card
I chose to use a landscape card for this project and the Crafts UK DL cards are ideal. Ink up the mountains – any combination you like – with Spectrum Noir Finesse Ink in black and stamp them firmly onto the card front. If you’re not great at stamping, use a stamping platform to line it up. That way you can double stamp if you need to, and guarantee a crisp, bold image. Stamp your sentiment directly below the mountains and then set the card to one side.

Although I chose a monochrome look for this card, it doesn’t mean it has to be too plain. I stamped the trees and clouds onto more Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card, with the same black ink, and fussy cut them out. They add some dimension to the card when you stick them on using 5mm foam pads. And that’s it, you’re done!
Have you created any monochrome cards before? I’d love to see how they turned out.
